This is the view form my bedroom’s window. Every day as the sun starts to go down you can see all the ship waiting patiently for their turn to cross the Panama Canal, when it is completely dark it seems like there is a city in from of us because of all of the lights. Now that I will be moving, I realize how much I am going to miss my #roomwithaview.
A moment in life
Mississippi: the magic of the sunset
I’ve said enough how magical and awesome the Mississippi is but all that is nothing compare to what I have to say about it’s sunsets! I was lucky enough to go there in the afternoon, float in its waters with my red solo cup and my fave wine, great company and good talk. The color of the light is out of this world, the sun setting behind the leaves makes them look this unreal color green that shines through the darkness of the trees. Too much to describe, here are some of my favorite images shot during that afternoon and sunset.
Sad…
Wow how can I even start to describe yesterday, it was a very sad day for me. Just the day before I was posting a beautiful comment Ilse posted me in FB regarding the photos of her beautiful 15 year old girl. The session was for Cas, but I insisted on having a couple family pictures made too. Of course moms always complain because they are not dressed or with their make up on but anyways I insisted and made some family photos. The first one we made is beautiful, so much that after shooting it I told them I was so jealous of that family photo, that I wanted one like that for my Christmas cards this year. Little did I knew I was shooting their last family photo…
Yesterday as I was working on that exact picture I received a call from a mutual friend letting me know that Ilse passed in an accident yesterday morning. I am so in shock, I had that photo open in my screen as I listened to those words…
My heart is broken today, I can’t stop thinking about her hubby and her 3 beautiful princesses…
Buen viaje amiga, thanks for your friendship, you will be missed.
